Toujours Pur

Apparently it’s not socially acceptable for a man to invite another man out just for coffee or to go out for a meal, in case it’s perceived as a date. Like it’s fine if you wanna go to the pub and drink beer and have a chat but make it non-alcoholic and suddenly you’re not straight anymore? You can go to the cinema together but ONLY if it’s an action movie. You guys can’t even just go shopping with each other. Oh masculinity, so fragile, so strange.

you’re the most beautiful person i’ve ever seen, and no i’m not saying that because we’re right next to McDonald’s and i’m out of money

So Valerie is like like liveblogging a bootleg of Wicked I sent her and it’s giving me life lol. She had no idea Elphie had a sister!

Why should we try to be our best
when we can just get by and still gain?

Why should we blaze a trail
when the well worn path
seems safe and so inviting?

How, as we travel,
can we see the dismay
and keep from fighting?

- “Louder Than Words”, tick, tick… BOOM!
performed by Raul Esparza, Amy Spanger and Jerry Dixon

Written in 1990, performed in 2001, still relevant today.
